Atomic Betty began life as an original trailer/preview online, as of winter 1999. It was later picked up as its full TV series (as of 2004), and has premiered on any of the following channels:
- Teletoon (Canada, 2004-2008)
- CITV (U.K., 2007-present), previously on Cartoon Network (2004-2007)
- The Hub (U.S., 2010-2011), previously on Cartoon Network (2004-2005)
- Cartoon Network (some countries, 2004-present)

Trivia[]
- The trailer is different from the full series.
- The animation was done in association with Film Roman, the studio most known for animating several Garfield TV specials. Film Roman was not involved with production of the final product.
- According to original concept art (which is used for the pilot), Betty would have been 8–9 years old.
